Ammon sits right on the east edge of Idaho Falls, so it is the closest thing we have to a home crowd. Most of the work that comes out of Ammon is personal vehicles, color changes and chrome delete on trucks, plus paint protection film on newer pickups that spend their winters on sanded roads.
The shop is in Idaho Falls, about 10 minutes from Ammon straight out East 17th and Sunnyside. Wraps are a few days with the vehicle in the bay, so most Ammon customers drop off in the morning and we keep them posted from there. Estimates are free and there is no charge to look at the vehicle first.
Ammon grew up against the east side of Idaho Falls, and for most people the line between the two cities only shows up on a tax bill. The Hitt Road corridor became one of the busiest shopping strips in Bonneville County after the city pushed commercial growth there in the 1990s, and between 2000 and 2010 Ammon was one of the fastest growing communities in Idaho. The result is a lot of newer trucks and SUVs parked about 5 miles from our bay on Gladstone Street.
A short trip opens up options that do not make sense from farther out. You can swing by just to hold vinyl samples against the paint in daylight, go home and think it over, and come back on another day for the install. A chrome delete or a small partial is often a single day in the shop, so a morning drop off can be home by evening. And if a wrap picks up a scuff later, it is an easy drive to have it looked at before a small problem grows.
Idaho Falls lays down salt brine and a salt and sand mix around storms, so winter grit rides along on every Ammon commute. Film lasts longer when that crust gets rinsed off every week or two instead of sitting there until spring.

Yes. Film looks different on a screen than it does on a panel outside, and from Ammon the visit is about ten minutes each way. Seeing gloss, satin and matte in real light is the easiest way to avoid a color you get tired of.
Often, yes. Chrome delete and small partials are frequently a one day job, so dropping off in the morning can mean picking up that afternoon. Call ahead so the bay is ready when you arrive.
