Commercial graphics run from a business name and phone number on two doors all the way to a fully printed box truck. For a lot of small businesses the middle ground works best: a partial wrap that puts color and a logo on the back half or the lower sides and leaves the rest in factory paint. It reads clearly from across a parking lot without covering every panel.
Vehicles that operate as commercial motor vehicles come with one requirement to design around. Federal regulation 49 CFR 390.21 calls for the carrier name and the USDOT number on both sides, in lettering that contrasts sharply with what is behind it and can be read from 50 feet during the day. Faded or peeling marks do not count, so that information belongs on a clean, open part of the door instead of on top of a busy printed image.
Rear windows can carry graphics too. Perforated window film prints the design on the outside while small holes let the driver see out, because the eye looks past the dots toward the brighter view beyond the glass. It does take some sharpness off the rear view, so it is a trade to weigh on vans that depend on that window.
For a fleet, consistency matters as much as the design itself. Using the same film, colors and layout on every unit makes the newest truck look like it belongs with the rest.

Vector files such as AI, EPS, SVG or a PDF exported from them scale cleanly to truck size. A small image saved from a website usually has to be redrawn before it can go that large.
With perforated window film, yes. The view is not as crisp as plain glass, but you can still see traffic and the road behind you.
Keeping one layout across the fleet makes it recognizable at a glance. The design gets adjusted for each body size, but the look stays the same.
